Amazing Sourdough Crackers!

Hi Friends!  I discovered a tool in the kitchen that takes away the laborious effort of rolling out my famous sourdough crackers.  It's part of the KitchenAid mixer called "pasta roller attachment" to effortlessly roll out my cracker dough before baking.  It makes cracker making so easy!  Much healthier than store bought crackers.  You have to try it!  Recipe below!  #CommissionsEarned

HERBED SOURDOUGH CRACKERS

1 cup sourdough starter

1 cup flour

1/4 nutritional yeast

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp dried chives

1/4 cup melted or softened butter

Mix all together by hand or it's easiest to place all in the KitchenAid and mix until a ball forms.

Break into 2 balls, wrap in saran wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour or if you aren't ready to bake and want fermentation benefits, leave in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Roll out thin is key!  I usually remove dough from fridge, break into 6 pieces, let come to room temperature, and flatten each piece into about 1/4" thick rectangular shape.  I feed the dough through the noodle attachment (#6 level) and gently lay it onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.

Cut crackers into shape using a knife or pizza cutter.

Spray with avocado oil and sprinkle with salt.

Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit or until golden brown.  Watch closely as they can burn fast!

Enjoy!
